Train to Teach

Why re-train to become a Teacher of Mindfulness?

Why invest your time, effort and money into additional qualifications? Why follow this hunch that a mindfulness practice is exactly what your life is asking of you right now? The World Health Organisation reports that in 2020 depression and anxiety will be a major contributor to the overall global burden of disease. With statistics like these, qualified and experience mindfulness teachers are more essential than ever.

Developed in two learning stages.

The Teacher Training pathway has been developed in two learning stages. The first year will be in a face to face learning environment, exploring and deepening your understanding of Mindfulness-based Interventions, methodologies and building competency for delivering Mindfulness courses. In the second year, you will be a distance learner, self-studying and working alongside a qualified experienced Mindfulness teacher as well as engaging in assessed teaching practice.

If you are taking part in the Teacher Training Research for Mindfulness for Women’s Self-Care, the training will be face to face for 12 months. With a commitment to receive ongoing supervised teaching practice. To find out more click here for details.

An attitude of curiosity and commitment.

In order for you to train to teach our mindfulness courses, you will need an attitude of curiosity and commitment to your own self discovery and an intention to embrace the discipline of daily practice. In all pathways, the responsibility of showing that competences have been met lies with the students themselves. The focus of the assessment is the Assignments and Practices Portfolio that the student demonstrates. Each step of this process builds on the next, leading to lifelong achievement, integration of the self and environment, and a strong sense of integrity.

There is an online platform for you to access resources as well as a forum to connect with your peers.

Please be advised that you must be able to attend the course dates in person.
